👎 Not the Title We Want: Massachusetts Leads in Nation's Highest Rents

We like our titles, but not this one!

According to a recent article from Boston Agent Magazine, Massachusetts now has the highest rents in the U.S., with the Boston-Cambridge-Newton area hitting a median of $3,490. This figure surpasses those of traditionally high-rent areas like San Jose. The increasing rent prices are making buying a home more attractive, particularly as the Federal Reserve may soon lower interest rates, making mortgages more affordable.

The report also highlighted that while renting can be more expensive than buying, there are still some more affordable options within the state, such as Springfield, Worcester, and Lowell. With the possibility of rent control being debated in Boston, it's an opportune moment for renters to consider homeownership.
